PFCongres calls for papers!
Dear friends and other interested people,
In 2013, Dutch web development usergroup PFZ.nl organizes the eighth edition of PFCongres. If all those years taught us one thing, it would be that we can't do anything without our speakers! For previous editions, we have been very proud to present a mix of both "big names" from the web development world as well as ambitious new speakers. We have no plans to change that goal for this years' conference.
And that is why you're here: our Call for Papers. Are you the one to take our audience along unthreaded paths to unexplored dungeons or to the highest peaks where no person has ever set foot before? Would you delve deep to share your knowledge of some web development related topic with our inquisitive audience? You are? You do? Then it is you we are looking for! Please fill out the form below and we kindly request you not to hesitate and send in multiple proposals, if you like.
If we select you to come and enlighten our audience with your talk, we of course won't leave you empty-handed. Firstly, you will receive travel reimbursement. Secondly, if you live in the Netherlands, we offer you one night stay in a hotel if you need it. If you're coming from abroad, we offer you two nights stay. Of course, we would appreciate it highly if you're able to convince your employer to cover (part of) these costs. PFZ.nl is a non-profit organisation, so our budget is limited. Furthermore, you could also try to persuade your employer to sponsor PFCongres. None of this is required, though. We select speakers purely on the basis of their proposals and will cover their costs if necessary.
To get a rough impression of the topics we are looking for, consider PHP5, HTML5, CSS3, frameworks, Javascript, tools, projects/use cases, tips'n'tricks, debugging, performance, usability, accessibility, (unit) testing, documentation, databases and whatever more floats your web development boat. If it is somehow related to web development, we would like to hear from you and read your proposal. Talks on the so-called "soft skills" are also more than welcome. When in doubt about the suitability of your topic, submit it anyway and maybe we can fit it in our schedule!
We are looking for talks in both English and Dutch.
The absolute deadline for our Call for Papers is Saturday, June 1st, 2013. Make sure you've sent in all your proposals by that date. We are already looking forward to reading them!
